This article guides you through posting a news item or other article to your Facebook Page, to drive more traffic to your website.

Are you posting regular updates to your Facebook Page but not your website?  Why not use your Facebook Page to drive traffic to your website by adding the update to your site, and then posting a link to it on Facebook?

Why you should be posting links back to your site on your Facebook Page

  • you get the benefit of fresh content on your site (Google really likes fresh content - it can help boost your search rankings)
  • Google likes your site to have incoming links (links to your site from other places)
  • you don't have to spend ages uploading pictures and posting images to Facebook, to then have to repeat the process adding it your website
  • it's a great way to drive more people from your Facebook Page to your site

Social Media

Social Media covers a range of services which allow you to build, join and interact with communities online. The best known are Facebook and Twitter, but there are many more out there.

The key point to understand about social media is that it is not just another channel to disseminate your marketing message, and if you use it like that it won't do much for you. Social Media is about having a conversation.
